Liberty Blue Takes Championship in Rain-Shortened Military Appreciation Tournament
Although Sunday was a wash-out at the 2020 Military Appreciation Tournament, there was no doubt who were 16U Champions. Liberty tore through the competition on Saturday going 3-0. They did not surrender a single run and scored 32 across three games. This is the team’s second championship in a row. Congratulations!

Liberty Blue are 16U/18U Baseliners Halloween Classic Champs
After going a perfect 6-0 on Saturday and Sunday, Liberty Blue were crowned the Champions of the 16U/18U Division in the Baseliners Halloween Classic.
Liberty Blue are Runners-Up in 18U Open Madison Small Memorial
After missing the 2019 Madison Small Memorial, Liberty Blue returned to the tournament where they have never placed lower than 3rd place. This year looked to be a challenge though as the team was playing up in the 18U Open division and Saturday saw them take a loss in Game 1. The team rebounded to win the remaining two games and place in the Gold Bracket for Championship Sunday. Although the team battled hard, they eventually fell in the championship game to the same team that had narrowly defeated them on Saturday. Special shout outs go to Abbey Lane and Lexi Schaaf. Abbey started Game 1 on Sunday and also appeared on the rubber in the other two. For the weekend, she pitched 10 innings and struck out 15 batters. Her fantastic pitching was supported by Lexi’s bat. Lexi hit two homeruns including a grand slam late in Sunday’s Game 1 to put the game out of reach.
