Loudoun Liberty’s 14U Blue team traveled to South Central Pennsylvania to compete in the Memorial Day Madness tournament. A field of 45 teams from eight states and Canada played in the three day tournament. Liberty posted a record of 7-2 for a 3rd place finish overall and their only two losses being to the eventual tournament champions. Great job Liberty!
10U Liberty hopped on I-95 and traveled south to Kill Devil Hills, NC where they took on some new competition. The team fought hard and made Liberty Travel proud, bringing home another championship trophy after going undefeated for the weekend. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
14U Blue stayed local for the Capital Region Invitational at Claude Moore Park and Potomac Lakes Sportsplex. They came out of pool play on Saturday 3-0 with a #1 seed, including a 17 run, 22 hit performance in game 3. On Sunday the team took advantage of a first round bye to win 3 back-to-back games and take the championship trophy home. They outscored opponents 53-18 over the six games.
For the second weekend in a row Mother Nature challenged Loudoun Liberty. This time 14U Liberty Black came out as finalists in the one day Momma Drama in Central Maryland. The team outscored opponents 23-4 in bracket play, before the championship game was called due to weather. Congratulations!
The Stingrays Classic was supposed to be a two-day tournament, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Only Saturday’s pool play was completed after Sunday’s brackets were washed out. When all was said and done Liberty was declared the 14U Open champion with a 3-0 record. They outscored opponents 25-1.
Fighting not only three tough teams, but also the weather, 14U Liberty Black came out as Silver Champions in the 14U B division of the Stingrays Classic!
Although bad weather prevented bracket play on Sunday, Liberty’s 2-1 pool play was good enough for a tournament championship. They were ranked 1st by virtue of beating the other team that posted a 2-1 record.
